Returning Home.

I hope that a day will come when I will be able to return,

Return to my hometown and to my mother.

I wish on that day; my town will welcome me,

And my mother will receive with her arms open,

That she makes me a warm bath and feed me with her hands,

Rest my head on her laps and nurse me to sleep

Just like she did when I was in the nursery.

But, before that day comes;

I must defeat the demons in the seven seas

Subdue the adversaries of the five oceans

And conquer the greatest of the mountains.

That on the day I return home,

I will be able to face my town with raised shoulders,

Prostrate to my mother with no shame,

And live my days with no regrets.

‘Cos I will be fulfilled on that day;

The day I’m returning home.
